Out and About

The other day I was visiting my friend in Downingtown, PA and she told me she was taking me to lunch and there is an added bonus. So off we scooted to Exton, PA (it sounds like we traveled far, but it was only 10 minutes away). I was beginning to think she forgot about my surprise when we finished lunch and got back into her car. She drove out of the parking lot and into the next lot and to quote Clement Moore “and what to my wandering eyes should appear”? Not a “miniature sleigh with eight tiny reindeer” but a quilt shop! Way better than eight tiny reindeer.

The owner of the shop The Quilt Block, Cynthia West, and I chatted up a storm. What a lovely gal! The shop is small but super cozy and not at all cluttered. Lots of awesome samples and super fabric! Of course I could not leave without some. I just love visiting new shops and quilters!

If you can’t make it out to Pennsylvania, you can follow The Quilt Block on Facebook at facebook.com/pages/The-Quilt-Block-Inc or on the web at http://www.quiltblockincfabric.com

Many thanks to my friend for such a wonderful lunch and bonus!
